​Hi, I'm Michelle Mayer of Shells Shells; every seashell has a story, and so do I. I have been an artist my whole life, working and freelancing for several Long Island artistic painting and mural companies. Shells Shells developed from meditative walks on the Beach, where I started to find and rescue unique ocean treasures. Over the past ten years, my shelling hobby has grown into a successful business. I have made friends from all over the country. All my shells are hand-picked from Long Island, New York, or Marco Island, Florida. My painted hats were necessary to shield my head from the sun, but they were also cute and fashionable. I have several other accessories that I have made to make shelling easier, such as headbands to hold back your hair while your eyes are searching the sand and small canvas cross bodies for your keys and phone—one-stop shopping.
